How we built up our small business with an initial investment of just ₹600!

Libaas e Lucknow started as a Small Neighborhood Clothing store with an initial investment of merely ₹600. With the passing years, we ultimately held on to the dream of becoming successful entrepreneurs over time.

On a regular summer evening, a friend of our mother visited and apprised us of her recently launched small clothing business. We made our first purchase from her for ₹600, following which she offered us to become her resellers. Unsure of the idea, we decided to give it a try. We bought a few pieces on 100% credit and decided to resell them. The brief duration it took for all of them to sell out left us flabbergasted. We continued doing this transaction with her a couple of times until we were certain we wished to do serious business.

Subsequently, we went on to put investments in our business and purchased goods worth ₹14,000 from a local market at discounted prices. After recurring success, we hired a part-time tailor and began to take stitching orders. After the few months that followed, we hired a full-time tailor still keeping all our operations from our house itself.

Having tasted the sweetness of success received by our flourishing ambition, we moved to a different place to continue our business. Renting a 2 BHK flat, we started our operations from there. We considered it to be time we took our business onto the next step more earnestly and concluded on our name and gave it a recognition legally. We made our presence over the various platforms of social media, designed our logo, and did all the essential upgrades to our small business.

We inaugurated our store with a 5-day exhibition using the best-suited marketing strategies and managed to acquire a good amount of profit while our business was on display. Soon, we started earning impressive profits monthly, which proved to be a factor that motivated us to keep growing.

Things were going smoothly and steadily until the pandemic broke out. As adversity set foot into each household, our business was severely affected too. We were forced to pay the rent along with the salary of our tailor with seemingly no deriving profit. Growing through the obstacles, we managed to pay all the expenses and returned with considerably more motivation and energy.

We thrived to become a lot more than just another clothing store in town and wanted our brand to be renowned by people from around the globe. This led to our decision of shifting towards online platforms for our business.

We were always working on building our business and transforming it into a huge brand over time. Our dreams have never failed to motivate us through our journey, and we know that soon all of them will surely come true. This, we can proudly say, is our journey of building an enterprise of dreams on the foundation of hope and belief.
